Links: Read the Versions of “Anti-Terrorism” Bills

There are two pending documents on Anti-Terrorism legislation in the Philippines. One from the Senate and the other from the House of Representatives. Both have the objective of modifying provisions of the existing Human Security Act of 2007.

There are two documents pending to become law on the topic of “Anti-Terror” or “Anti-Terrorism” legislation in the Philippines.

The objective of both is basically to modify the existing law — The Human Security Act of 2007 — thereby repealing it when it is passed.

The issue now on hand is how each version presents its “teeth” through its prescribed measures.

Proposed New Law: Senate Bill #1083 or “The Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020”
