Thank God! Both of the country’s largest telco providers, Globe Telecom and Smart Communications have come up with an “Installment Payment Program” to help ease the financial burden of customers during the COVID-19 crisis. Here’s how to avail of it.
For Globe Telecom Subscribers:
Qualifications: Open to all active Globe Postpaid, Globe At Home / Broadband / Bayan and Platinum accounts with an amount to be paid that’s equal to or more than their subscribed plan amount. This also includes business and enterprise customers.
Enrollment Period: May 15, 2020 to June 15, 2020
Installment Period: up to 6 months, you’ll have to specify how many months
Steps to Apply:
- Check your account balances thru the Globe One or Globe At Home (for Broadband subscribers) apps at the Google Play or App Store.
- Proceed to register thru the link https://www.globe.com.ph/installment.html
- Pay your balance in monthly installments.
For PLDT Home, Smart and Sun Subscribers:
Qualifications: All active Smart and SUN Postpaid customers with outstanding balances equal or greater than P100, as of April billing cut-off, are automatically qualified for the 6-month installment payment program. Corporate accounts are not qualified for the program. PLDT Home subscribers will also have it automatically reflected in their billings.
Amounts for Installment: All unpaid balances equal or greater than P100 as of April billing cut-off will be amortized via a 6-month payment period with zero percent (0%) interest, starting May 2020 until October 2020.
Installment Period: May 1, 2020 to October 31, 2020
How to Proceed:
All qualified Smart and SUN Postpaid customers are automatically enrolled to the easy 6-month installment payment program. This will apply to billing cycles within May 1, 2020 until October 31, 2020. Customers, however, may choose to finish the program earlier by settling their total installment amounts (equal to their outstanding balance as of April billing cut-off) in full anytime within the six-month period.
Smart and SUN Postpaid customers with outstanding balances below P100 as of April billing cut-off will not be enrolled to the program.

So the basic difference is that for Globe Telecom subscribers, you have to manually apply with their installment program. For Sun and Smart subscribers, outstanding balances before May 1, 2020 are already automatically applied to reflect in your bills/SOA and amortized equally with 0% interest for a period of 6 months from May to October 2020.
